Every web site should have a sitemap.xml. These files are an easy way for webmasters to inform search engines about pages on their sites that are available for crawling.
In its simplest form, a Sitemap is an XML file that lists URLs for a site along with additional metadata about each URL. The sitemap should conforms to the sitemaps.org specification. This helps search engines to more intelligently crawl a website and keep their results up to date. Itshould be automatically submitted to Ask, Google, Bing , and Yahoo! search engines.
Web crawlers usually discover pages from links within the site and from other sites. Your sitemap should allow the search engine crawlers that support sitemaps to pick up all pages in the sitemap and learn about those urls using the associated metadata. Using this protocol does not guarantee that web pages are included in search engines, but provides clues for web crawlers to do a better job of crawling your site.

I agree. It’s bad when you have 10,000 friends and you have no intentions of interacting with them.
Social networking is good and bad. It’s nice to say you got 10,000 friends, but it’s bad when you never met any of them and probably never will.
